House London Removals

Coverage

Every borough, and out of the city

We work wherever London's housing stock is houses. And a good share of our work is the move out — a London terrace traded for more space beyond the M25.

Where we are most weeks

Every borough is covered. These are the ones where whole-house moves are concentrated — the parts of the city built as terraces and semis rather than as blocks.

How London divides for us

North London

Islington, Camden, Haringey, Barnet and out towards Finchley and Muswell Hill. Tall Victorian and Edwardian terraces, a great many loft conversions, and streets where the suspension matters more than the vehicle.

East London

Hackney, Walthamstow, Leyton and the Docklands fringe. Terraces being extended and converted constantly, which means more awkward internal layouts than the age of the stock suggests.

South East London

Southwark, Lewisham, Greenwich and Bromley. Wider streets further out, steeper ones nearer the river, and a lot of families trading upward within the same few postcodes.

South West London

Wandsworth, Lambeth, Merton and Richmond. The heartland of the four-bed family terrace and of the move out to Surrey, which we do a great deal of.

West London

Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Ealing. Stucco-fronted houses with basements and deep lightwells, plus the tightest parking restrictions in the city.

Beyond the M25

Surrey, Kent, Hertfordshire, Essex, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and further west to Bristol and south to Brighton. A London loading problem at one end, a country access problem at the other.

Leaving London

Where London houses go

The London end is the hard end — no driveway, a controlled zone, a narrow terrace street. The destination brings its own questions, and we check them before choosing the vehicle.
