Chain position 03
A chain that slips
Completion has moved, or looks like it might.
Dates in a chain are agreed until they are not. This is the position most people find themselves in without having planned for it.
What this position changes
You may have to be out of one property before you can get into the other, which turns one move into two half-moves with storage between them.
A crew and a vehicle booked for a date that no longer exists has to be rebooked, and in London the good dates go first.
Some of the load may need to be accessible while the rest goes into store — the things you need to live out of a suitcase, and the things you genuinely do not.
What you get
What we bring to this position
- 01 Containerised storage so the load is sealed once and not handled in and out of a warehouse
- 02 A split inventory: what goes to store, what stays with you, what is delivered first
- 03 Rebooking handled without treating a slipped chain as your failure
- 04 Delivery to the new address when the chain finally moves
Not you?
